Stags Head.

Last Year I visited the V&A museum with my family whilst up in London looking at Uni's. In the little shop there they were selling stag heads. This has recently become a new trend especially in small businesses and websites like 'not on the high street . My Mum instantly fell in love with them and we all thought that this style of decor would go perfectly in our country cottage house.

Seeing as these were hundreds of pounds, we decided against the idea of purchasing as they were only made of cardboard! So for ages now I have had a secret plan to make my mum one and after about a year I've finally gotten round to doing it and thought I'd make it as part of her Christmas present.

I had wrapped it up in a big box (that I got from our oven door :p ours broke at uni thanks to some drunken housemates 'spinning'... don't ask :p) so perfectly wrapped it lay under the Christmas tree, the excitement building up inside me. This is what I was most excited about on Christmas day, my mum opening her present. Finally I couldn't wait any longer so I made her open it, and it now proudly hangs on top of our mantle piece in the lounge :).

Driving home for Christmas.

Well hello there, long time no see! I cant believe I've not blogged in literally months after starting uni I've realized I've had a crazy amount of work to do and I had to apply for uni for next year by December so its been pretty crazy here with me trying to decide what I want to do!

Anyway, I have decided not to dwell on the past and I'm going to start the new year fresh and start up blogging again. Before writing this post I've been looking trough my previous posts and outfits over the last year and realized I've really missed blogging, chatting away and posting my looks.

New years resolution #1 - Try to blog everyday or at least three times a week :)

So in forgetting the past few months I'm just going to start over with my Christmas celebrations.

I came home from uni like Mrs Clause with a big bag of presents for the family and all my things. I came home with my housemate to surprise my family, although they were all out when I got home so I had to hide in my room wrapping presents til they got home :p. Still for me who's a little obsessed with wrapping with tissue paper, ribbons and bows, making things look pretty, I quite enjoyed myself. On to the festivities:

Every year we go to a lovely Christmas party in Winchester where we have a lovely evening with the most amazing canapes and fun chatting to the families friends and listening to Christmas tunes played by the pianist. Every year we say, once we've been to this event (one of the highlights of the year) our Christmas can begin!

We put our tree up just a few days before Christmas this year as I was away at uni and my sister was working til the 21st. So the weekend I was home me and my Dad took our traditional trip down to the little garden center at the bottom of our road to pick up our tree. We always manage to find a gorgeously big tree to fill with all our decorations, however this year as we were a little late in getting down there, we only had a choice of the hugeee 10ft trees (shame ;)!) so this year we've had the biggest tree we've ever had the only downside is we have to squeeze into the kitchen so as not to get a pricked bottom from the branches!

Home Sweet Home.

Wow. I literally cannot believe how long it has been since I last blogged. I have been unbelieveably busy these past few months, with getting A Level results, sorting out Uni, moving out and getting all my home comforts bought and packed up ready to move on August 31st. So yes I know it has pretty much been a month now since I moved in, but we only got our internet a few days ago so I have been completely out of the blogging world for ages. It feels god to be back, home sweet home.

I am now hoping to get back into the blogging routine as I actually miss it so much. Not only blogging about my new busy life but also i miss reading all your blogs. I'm ready for a fresh start, and looking for lots of new blogs to read and new inspiration.

So for my first new post of many, it seemed like a good place to start, would be my new house. I have moved to Bournemouth as I am studying art foundation at AUCB. Although its not even freshers yet, we have been getting on it like true students and have had some eventful nights already.

1. Getting carried home by the neighbors on the first night of meeting them.

2. A friend came to visit and we had the paramedics over to visit at 4am. Lovely.

3. We have met our amazing neighbors and got our own little family away from home which is pretty much perfect.

4. Oh and I guess the course is going well too :p....

I've moved in with 3 of my closest friends back from home who I've known for 7 years. After knowing a lot about them, I now feel like I know literally, everything! We are already all morphing into the same person with all our sayings and habits. and have had some awkward moments walking in on each other in the shower.... (it was going to happen sooner or later) but all in all I feel like I have three new sisters now were all so close :).

Last week I went into town for my first night out since I turned 18. Basically I'm not one for tight skirts and crop tops and getting my boobs out. As you may have noticed I'm into fit and flare dresses and peter pan collars. Therefore I thought I might have struggled with town....

that is until I hit Topshop a few weeks ago and fell in love with these embellished minty shorts (also fulfilling the pastel obsession and breaking the bank as they were £50. However I'm literally in love with them so much and thought they'd be perfect for town.) I teamed them with my Phase Eight lace top that I wear to work, but I've also worn them with  a plain loose silky top and a black boob tube which looks great.

To finish my look I popped to New Look and found this pastel shade clutch (£14.99). And black suede wedges which are thee most comfortable (and my highest) heels I own (£24.99).

(I'm currently debating whether these beauts could be dressed down or not?!)

Parma Violet.

I was talking in my previous post how I've been naughty and been on a spending spree! Today's outfit features the other evidence of my outburst in Warehouse. Wooppps!

So as well as my jumper (see here)

I bought this embroidered top. I'm really into yellow at the moment, not sure why but I'm just generally a bit obsessed with the whole pastel trend and love mixing the different baby shades together :).

I also got these lilac jeans (hence my parma violets title :p) I've wanted lilac jeans for ages and I'm glad I held out. These are slightly high wasited and for me this is great, I feel they are so much more comfortable as

a) there is no risk of muffin tops

and

b) no risk of knickers popping out the top to say hello.

I've teamed my pastel outfit with some bright and bold colours to give it a summery look and to bring in the colours for my gorgeous embroidered top.
