blossom babe.

The sun is shining and the daisys are blooming, summer is finally here! woooopiee. For months I've been working on my summer wardrobe and disapointingly I've not had a chance to wear anything but jumpers and jeans! It's just been to cold, but now the sun is out and here come the dresses!

It was still a bit nippy when I wore this dress to college as I left early in the morning so I popped on my trusty scarf, (which luckily made my outfit.)

I'm Wearing:

H&M maxi Dress (old)
H&M Belt
Urban Outfitters Necklace
Primark Sunglasses
Scarf (from a jewelry party)

I also finished college early so once I got home I was feeling very fresh and healthy as all the flowers were out and it was making me happy, so I decided to fix myself a nice healthy lunch to match my mood.

You will need:

Multi Grain RYVITA (or one of your choice)
Tuna Mayo mix
Slices of Cucumber
Cracked Black Pepper
Sea Salt (Maldon is a fave!)

.... and voilá a yummy healthy lunch, minimal calories that fills you up :) perfecto!

If you're still a bit peckish, I would advise Brazil Nuts, or walnuts etc to nibble on :)
(feeling so hungry right now!!!)

IOW 2012.

Hello pretty ladies (and handsome gentlemen)! hows everyone doing? I'm confident summer is finally here! Wooo so I'm feeling pretty goood and waking out my summery wardrobe. Sorry its been ages between posts lately I've have such a busy week! So after finishing all my exams (woopiie!) I am now a lady of leisure getting a bit fed up of day time TV but there we go, there's only so much of Dickinson's real deal I can take!

So my past week, having lazy days at home, meeting with friends and looking forward to finishing my exams. Standard week really..... Thursday night my sister calls me up and surprises me with tickets to IOW festival for the Friday-Sunday! I managed to book the day off work, luckily! there was no way I was missing out on this opportunity!. so for my first festival i saw the likes of Noah and the Whale, Labrinth, Jessie J, Dry the River (new fave!!!) and of course the headline act, the boss... Mr Bruce Springsteen! after thinking I wouldn't really like him that much my dad saying he was quite 'rocky' he was by far THEEE best of the entire weekend. he got the crowd going so much and it was such an amazing end to a fabulous weekend of Pimms Great music and pooey port- loos (not so fabulous but and experience I must say will unfortunately not be leaving my mind any time soon!) here's a few snaps from the weekend and tips on festival fashion!

 Lebellebow's top 5 Festival tips:

1. Make sure your wellies do NOT leak! no matter how fashionable you may think they are, do ensure they are completely mud and waterproof!

2. Layers. Top tip from my sister who has been many a time. Thinking I'd look super cool in my tops high waisted shorts and knee high socks. this was a big mistake to make! Unfortunately last weekend was pretty chilly, although we did have a few sunny spells and ended up coming home looking like a tomato! layers is the key. I wore leggings under my shorts and a few pairs of socks (party to absorb the mud from my leaky welly! :L) but also to keep me nice and toasty in the evenings.

Take vests tops cardigans jumpers and hoodies and wear as much as you can! I didn't enjoy myself as much as I would have done on evening one simply because I was utterly freezing!

A woolly hat and a rain coat are also a must have item!

3. Hair accessories. Pretty flower garlands and straw hats are a great way to festivalise your outfit. you can buy these around the festival or from stores in the high street, or even make your own!

Lebellebow's DIY tip:
You will need: strip of floers from a fabric shop, Ivy twigs from the garden, and garden wire or string.
and all you need to do is simply wrap the flowers and wire around the ivy and secure with wire at the back making it into a circle garland to fit around your head :). Neatooo eh?

4. Avoid Playsuits. they look awesome, but when in a hurry for the loo, it takes a while to get them off = spending unnecessary time in the smelly portas. Its really not pleasant!

5. Be as individual as possible! Stand out from the crowd and just have a great time.

the runway.

London, Milan, Paris and New York have nothin' on Winchester!  Last week, Fashion Week came to Winchester in search of local designers and models show casing the best of the south coast. I was lucky enough to be chosen to have my designs featured in the show! And what a show it was too! Capital FM opened the show with one of their local designers who was asked to showcase her designs based on the Katy Perry songs (see here).

Me and my family were all sat nervously excited with front row seats ready to see my dresses. surprisingly mine were first on, It was all so exciting I didn't recognize them all at first. I felt like a proud mum seeing my babies up on the catwalk (slightly protective over my designs :s). All the models did superbly and Showed of my dresses and the other designers work beautifully. Would also like to say a big well done to Anna and the rest of the team who organised the whole event and the other amazing events throughout the whole week. And for you local lovelies, look out for it nest year!!

So there we go :), (sorry for some of the poor quality photos I had to copy them off the Capital FM site, but you can see them better here and loads of the other designers work!) and more professional photos from Glen Jevon Photography here :)

Just a little background info on these dresses, the first one was created based on an emotion, and the idea of serenity, this was the first dress i ever made at college and seeing it on the catwalk, actually one of my favorites! Secondly there's the dress which is very ballerina esque, this was based on the idea of history and french culture. So I did a lot of embroidery of french words/sayings and collage work of vintage colours giving it a historical feel. The finally the Kimono, this was my most recent one I've made that I was able to show in Fashion Week, this was my A2 coursework piece. Based on a tea party with embroidered doilies and patterns taken from traditional Japanese kimonos after looking into the Japanese tea celebrations (see here).

Finally none of my posts will be complete with a cheeky outfit ;), so here's what I wore on the night!

grandpa tweed.

heyyyy! So, in the words of Miranda, today I'm over excited (for those of you who watch Miranda) Why I hear you ask? Well I shall tell you dear bloggers, I have now finished studying English Language for the rest of my life :). After nearly 15 years of my life, it has all come to an end this afternoon after my utter killer of an exam (2 and a half hours! was definitely not fun getting cramp in my elbow) but there we go, hopefully it will have been worth it... just now the painful wait for results day.

Today's post was an outfit before we hit that utter heat wave. Now the weather has gone a bit rubbish again,it now seems acceptable to post a more wintery look.

I've called it Grandpa tweed feeling like a little old man wearing my tweed shorts. Although I love them dearly (great find from Zara kids!) I do sometimes feel a bit boyish in them, so I've added a ladylike lacey touch and my trusty watch necklace for a vintage feminine look :).

I'm Wearing:
Primark Lace top  .  Zara Kids Shorts  .  Bershka Blazer  .  Topshop Boots

Ditsy Daisy.

Hello beautiful bloggers! sorry its bee a while again! I'm getting a bit bogged down with revision... (loving life, there's only so much of the history of the English Language I can take! but there we go, it'll all be over forever on Monday! woohoo)...enough of the ranting.

As I'm sure I don't need to point out, the weather has been utterly gorgeous this last week, so I managed to get my little legs out for a quick tanning sesh in between college lessons. Naughtily, my sister made me go into town on my way back form work the other week to pick up a few bits for her. Whilst having a little browse around I came across this utter hidden gem of a dress tucked round the back. Without trying it on I ran to the till before anyone else could see it. I don't normally go for the shirt dress style but I'm utterly converted after this beaut!

My spontaneous frivolousness was worth the whole £19.99! utter bargain. I'm so glad my sister made me go into town, so I guess I have her to thank, unless were putting the blame on my magpie like vision. So I first wore it to college on one of the hot days (slight mistake as its black) but I dressed it up a little for you beautiful people with my red wedges from daisy street.
I'm Wearing
H&M floral dress . Daisy Street red wedges . Sisters Accessorize Belt

(p.s. I'd like to say that I took ages in choosing the name for this post but its only til now I've made the link between 'ditsy daisy' and daisy street... Originally the daisies came in due to my slight obsession with them at the moment, but it all turned out rather well)
